- One minute left in the first half. I’d like to take this opportunity to chastise the NFL for their decision to cover the football in Vaseline for the Super Bowl. Seriously, what has there been, about 17 fumbles already? Bizarre.
- Can someone explain to me why the NFL (or anyone for that matter) would invite Prince to their show, and then have him do a bunch of OTHER PEOPLES’ SONGS? I do like that the marching band has glowing trim on their uni’s. I hope they continue to use those during football season. Not that I’ll be watching many Florida A&M games…
- OK. I’m not a Rex hater, but maybe the Bears ought to start thinking about Griese (am I really saying this?) It would be one thing if Rex was just throwing INT’s or something, but he can barely take a snap or stand upright.
- I hope this game doesn’t come down to a FG attempt for the Colts. That squad has looked shaky (at best) today.
- Rex throws an INT that gets returned for a Colt’s TD. Seriously guys–Griese.
- Rex throws another INT down 12 points. SERIOUSLY guys–Griese. Aw hell, it’s probably too late now anyway. All those 3-and-outs killed that Bears defense earlier. They are gassed.
- Addai has been the guy that killed the Bears today. He won’t win it, but probably deserves the MVP. All those little dump passes he caught frustrated and tired out the Bears D. He was a big part of the huge time of possession advantage the Colts had. Hell, him and Rhodes ought to share the award.
- Manning and Dungy finally have their championship. Good for them. The Colts did what they needed to in the 2nd half, but they really dodged a lot of bullets earlier in the game. They recovered from the Hester TD pretty well, but they had a bunch of turnovers that the Bears didn’t take advantage of. It’s all moot now though. All welcome our new NFL overlords, the Indianapolis Colts.
